Fluoroscopy
Real-time X-ray imaging for gastrointestinal and contrast studies.
30–60 minutes
Overview
Fluoroscopy is essential for evaluating swallowing disorders, upper and lower GI tract problems, and for guiding certain interventional procedures. We perform barium swallow, barium meal, barium enema, and hysterosalpingography (HSG) studies. Procedures are carried out by trained radiographers; radiologists provide the clinical interpretation and reporting expected of their role, with additional oversight where required.
